30 May, 1211 [7 Oct 1218]

The day was a quite one. Tovish and Nyra were separated and kept apart. Nyra and Dreune were kept apart except for a brief update of Dreune about Korkyn’s progress. Nyra and I talked late into the incident and she acknowledged having little patient for what she calls “little boy games”. Especially irritating to her is the way that Dreune talks down to her and the general crudeness of the Company. Most will clean up their acts when Nyra or myself are around, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t hear it otherwise. I am more used to this because of my time in the prisons of Greyhawk. I have been called, or my parts have been called every name under the moon. I can ignore them and forget about it. I just remember that I am better than those ruffians. They didn’t have the advantages of a civilized upbringing. Nyra, coming from a matriarchal society where the roles are reversed, cannot forget or forgive these slights. At times, I wonder why she is here at all.
