For each point of resistance that is not overcome by the spell, 1 HP will be done to the victim. For example, Tar has been swallowed a pretzel and is choking on it. Firena tries to remove it with this spell. Her power is 14. The resistance of the spell (same Species) is 5, and Tar rolls 2 successes. Her power is 14. The resistance of the spell (same Class) is 8, and the horse rolls 3 successes. Multiplied by the resistance (8) gives a total resistance of 24. Firena’s power of 14 will remove the object, but will do an additional 10 hit points of damage to the horse. | |||||||||||||

For each point of resistance that is not overcome by the spell, 1 HP will be done to the victim. For example, Tar’s has been shot by an arrow. Firena tries to remove it with this spell (She learned from her horse [see above]). Her power is 35. The resistance of the spell (same Class) is 8, and the horse rolls 1 successes. Multiplied by the resistance (8) gives a total resistance of 8. Firena’s power of 35 will remove the object with no additional damage. When Firena sees how little was actually in the horse, she curses herself—the minor removal would have worked. | |||||||||||||
